Escheat Desk

Unclaimed property filing

Turn your uncashed checks into a filing-ready unclaimed-property pack

Every business holds money it owes someone who never collected it — old checks, dormant credit balances, unredeemed gift cards. States require you to report and remit it on a deadline. Escheat Desk works out which items are reportable, to which state, and by when, and prepares the paperwork you file.

$199 per business, per reporting year. No subscription.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Upload your outstanding-items list

A CSV of the checks, credit balances, gift cards, deposits and refunds you are still holding. Download the template and paste your rows in.

  2. Step 2

    See what is reportable, free

Before you pay, the free check shows which items are reportable, to which state, the dormancy period it applied, and the filing deadline. It runs in your browser.

  3. Step 3

    Pay once, get the pack

For $199 you get the determination report, the due-diligence letters ready to mail, the per-state report files, and the filing calendar.

What is in the pack

A real sample, not a mock-up

The sample pack was produced by the same pipeline a paid order runs, from a fictional business's outstanding-items list: 12 items across 4 states, 10 reportable now ($1731.50).

Questions

Does this file for me?
No. Escheat Desk prepares the paperwork; you file it with the state and mail the due-diligence letters. That is what the law requires of the holder.
Where do the dormancy periods come from?
Each state's published NAUPA reporting profile. The determination report names the period it applied to every item and links the source, so you can check it. Confirm your state's current rules and accepted file format before you file.
What if my list is wrong?
Correct the row in your spreadsheet and rebuild the pack from your order page. Rebuilding for the same business and reporting year is included.
What is your refund policy?
If we fail to produce your pack, or you never open it, the payment is refundable. See the Terms for the exact conditions.
